Lisa McNamara

OWNER

Lisa and Jim opened the original MCN Salon in 1999. The salon rebranded in 2021 and Lisa is now proud to keep the same reputation in a new location.

Credentials: Lisa is a Vidal Sassoon designer, she has been part of the Framesi design team as a master colorist for over 15 years.

Specialty: Delivering and upholding a perfect balance of technical expertise, client care, and service with a progressive attitude and artistic vision. She also specializes in all aspects of color correction.

Motivation: Lisa’s passion is to coach each individual stylist on the importance of clear and concise communication during consultations which achieves an unparalleled experience for everyone.

Hobby: You will find her with her horses when she takes time away from the salon.

Jim McNamara

Master Designer

Credentials: Vidal Sassoon Trained, Framesi certified Colorist. Over 25 years experience .

Specialty: Jim customizes each client’s look by paying extreme attention to design detail in all aspect’s “hair”. He is a cutting specialist and master at color correction.

Motivation: A lifelong commitment to Excellence.

Hobby: Jim can be found perfecting his game of golf

Master Stylist

Credentials: 25 years’ experience, 17 years in top Toronto salons, 3 year Network educator for Bumble & Bumble

Specialty: highlighting/balayage, dimensional color, barbering, women’s short haircuts

Motivation: The best hairdressers never stop learning

Hobby: Gardening, cooking, travel, exercise

Kristen

Senior Stylist

Credentials: Paul Mitchell Academy, Framesi certified, Tape in extension certified, Brazilian Blowout certified, 7 years experience

Specialty: Cutting, barbering

Motivation: making clients feel confident and educating them with “tips and tricks” to keep their hair looking great

Hobby: Running with her dog

Credentials: Mitchells Academy Raleigh NC, Framesi Color Certified, Tape in Extension Certified, Brazilian blowout, 7 years experience

Specialty: Blonding, natural dimensional coloring, layered haircuts

Motivation: Being able to be artistic and creative, making people feel confident

Hobby: Bowling, Karaoke

Credentials: Paul Mitchell Academy, Brazilian blowout certified, 4 years experience, Framesi color certified

Specialty: Dimensional color

Motivation: Educating Guests on how to maintain and “replicate” salon hair

Credentials: North Hills Beauty Academy, Graham Webb Academy, Kerry has 8 years experience, Advanced cutting classes, certified with Tape in Extension,

Specialty: Blonding, babylights, balayage

Motivation: Love being able to do what I love to do and have my guests always loving their look.

Hobby: Working out and a huge fan of Bravo TV

Motivation: Having clients leave feeling refreshed. Educating my clients on how to create and maintain their looks at home

Junior Stylist

Credentials: Forbes Road Academy, CTC Training, Framesi color certified, 2 years experience

Specialty: Special event styling/wedding hair

Motivation: Being creative in my craft, bonding with clients and helping them achieve their dream hair.

Hobby: in a band, plays guitar and sings

Taylor

Front Desk Manager

Taylor graduated from Bella Capelli cosmetology school in 2015 and started at MCN Salon that same year. A true team player, you can find her ready to greet you as you walk in the door. She will schedule your appointments and assist in any and all of your service needs.

Her smile is contagious! She takes pride in providing the utmost in client care! In her free time, she loves traveling and enjoying all Pittsburgh has to offer.

Receptionist

Cara began at MCN Salon in early 2018. With her, she brings several years of administrative salon experience, having worked in salons for the past several years.

Outside of the salon, Cara works full-time as a Project Manager for the Navy and is also attending Graduate School at Duquesne University for Information Technology.
